    What is the Green Seal?

The Green Seal is an Environmental Certificate that attests to the sustainable quality of a select group of companies that practice Environmental Preservation, Education and Communication and are committed to Sustainable Development. This seal, present in several countries around the world, is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), encouraging and recognizing the fulfillment of these goals through sustainable socio-environmental practices carried out by companies, organizations and public entities.

The certification was obtained after a recommendation and research conducted by the Sustainability Committee, which consulted environmental agencies at the municipal, state and federal levels, such as IBAMA, the state environmental departments and the municipal environmental agency. The assessment took into account the following essential criteria:

Water and Effluents: Analysis of the company's water management and liquid waste treatment practices.
Energy: Study of energy consumption, efficiency and sources used in operations and processes.
Raw materials: Examination of the origin, sustainable use and environmental impacts of the materials used in the company's products and processes.
Atmospheric Emissions: Measurement of atmospheric pollutant emissions generated by the company's operations and the control measures implemented.
Environmental Education: Assessment of environmental awareness and training initiatives offered to employees and stakeholders.

This seal is granted by Jornal do Meio Ambiente, an organization founded in 2002 with the aim of encouraging, raising awareness and informing about sustainable practices essential for a more balanced coexistence between human beings and nature.
